On an established property the trees are part of what the place is worth. Pruning them well, and working without leaving a mark on anything else, is a different job from clearing a lot.
Mature specimen trees reward proper care and punish the other kind. Correct pruning cuts, a sensible cycle, and restraint about how much comes off in any one year will keep a good tree sound for decades. Heavy-handed work, or topping, will cost you the tree eventually.
The other half of the job is everything around it. Established planting, irrigation heads, lighting, stonework and lawn all have to survive the visit. We use turf protection on soft ground, lower limbs on ropes rather than dropping them, and clean the site properly before we leave.
